MathAlive! will open at the San Diego Air & Space Museum on January 31st and run through September. This exhibit aims to show kids unexpected ways that math appears in recreation as well as in working life, promising “unique, interactive experiences to transform math from its native form into the fascinating applied worlds of design, engineering, technology and science.” I’m happy to be part of it.
This exhibit has been traveling the US since it first opened at the Smithsonian in March 2012. After San Diego, its next stop is the Great Lakes Science Center in Cleveland. Here’s a review from the previous stop.
